Home « BLOG RULES

I started this blog because I wanted to share some life experiences and observations from a deeper reality, in order to be closer to those who are interested in my work.  In this context, while the increasing number of visits the Blog is getting is very gratifying, it has made it necessary to bring some order to the comment function, to prevent dilution of the Blog’s objective and also to ensure that there is proper feedback between you and me.
I find it necessary to lay down a basic rule with respect to comments.  In keeping with the tradition of the so-called “blogosphere”, the purpose of the visitors’ comments is not to get into a discussion with the author, but to create a space for opinion and dialogue stemming from the subject he has raised.  Nor is it meant to be used as a free space for reproducing in their entirety articles or essays by the visitors, though I appreciate the desire to share with me and with those who visit this site subjects that may be of interest.  In these cases, I would prefer to receive such submissions directly by email to infodss@dariosalas.com, which is set up for this purpose, thus allowing me to select what to publish, in accordance with the goals of this site.
Other rules that will regulate the functioning of the Blog from now on are as follows:
1.  Registration as a user will be required in order to post comments.  Users must provide an email address, to which a password will be sent.  This way we will try to avoid junk mail and messages that do not fulfill the goals of the Blog.
2.  Comments that relate to a given article will be accepted as long as they are no longer than 1,000 characters and are submitted under the name of their true author along with his or her registered email address.  Otherwise, comments will be discarded.
3.  Comments that use cryptic, incomprehensible or confusing language or that include disqualifications, attacks, insults or rude language will be erased without exception.  Registered users who post them will be eliminated and blocked.
4.  The owner of the Blog reserves the right to intervene or respond publicly to the comments it receives, whether these are posted openly or sent by email.  He also reserves the right to not respond or to erase any post without giving a reason; even if a post does not violate the previous rule, it may not add to the discussion or fit with the objectives of the Blog.
5.  All comments that include advertisements or any kind of announcements will be eliminated without exception.
6.  Comments that are accepted will be considered active for 15 days after publication of the article to which they relate, after which time they may be eliminated.
I am sure that anyone who is truly interested in getting to know my work and accessing the points of view, news items or subjects that are published here will agree that these simple rules are the commonsense minimum needed to safeguard the objectives of this Blog.
Cordial regards,
